What are your hours of operation?

We are open Tuesday through Saturday and closed on Sunday and Monday. See detailed hours of operation below:

Monday: CLOSED
Tuesday: 5:30pm-9:30pm
Wednesday: 5:30pm-9:30pm
Thursday: 5:30pm-9:30pm
Friday: 12:00pm-11:30pm
Saturday: 12:00pm-11:30pm
Sunday: CLOSED

All other times are by reservation only. To make a reservation, call us from Monday through Sunday (10am-10pm) at (614) 987-6125*.

What are your office hours?

To make a reservation or if you have any questions, we are available by phone or in-person from Monday through Sunday, 10am to 10pm.

Where are you located?

We are located at the heart of Columbus, right of 161 at 6124 Busch Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43229, across from The Continent French Quarter and inside Stars Indoor Sports. A 10 minute car ride from Worthington, Westerville, and Polaris!

  • From I-71:
  • Head West on Dublin Granville Rd (SR-161) to Busch Blvd.
  • Turn Right on Busch Blvd. and proceed North
  • Turn Right at the front entrance to The Continent
  • Turn Left at the stop sign, then Right at the following stop sign (next to the movie theater)
  • Proceed through the parking lot to the service road and the facility is the red building on the right

From OH-23:

Is there parking?

There is plenty of free parking on site. Occasionally, the facility has an event, but with 2,000 parking spots in The Continent within a 4 minute walk, you’ll never have to park too far away.

Do you offer walk-ins?

Currently we do allow walk-ins. We highly recommend making a reservation in advances as there is limited capacity. 

Can I rent the entire venue?

Our venue holds up to 60 people, but to meet social distancing protocol, we have decided to temporarily limit our capacity to 35. Please give us a call at (614)987-6125 to inquire about our most up to date capacity.

Can I sign up for a league?

Unfortunately, we currently do not offer leagues. 

Can I bring my younger child(ren) with me, even if they are not participating?

Due to the adult atmosphere, children under the age of 13 years old are not permitted.

THE EXPERIENCE

Is axe throwing safe?

Yes! We have an experienced employee guiding and supervising the entire experience to ensure your safety. We also ask that you kindly review and sign our waiver prior to starting the experience.

I’m not participating, do I still have to sign a waiver?

As part of our safety protocol, we kindly ask that you still sign a waiver, whether you’re participating or not.

What should I wear?

We only ask that you please wear closed toe shoes, but other than that, dress as you like! Have fun and enjoy.

Is there an age limit?

Due to the adult atmosphere, you must be 13 years or older, with a parent or guardian, to participate in a public show or open throw. Children under the age of 13 are not permitted, even if not participating. 

How early should I arrive?

We recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to your reservation to allow enough time to check in and sign our waiver. 

How long are the sessions?

We offer 60-minute experiences and our 90-minute FULL experience. Check out our Pricing page for more information.

What are the rules?

All participants will have an axe throwing coach go over the safety procedures and rules during the brief training session at the beginning of your experience, regardless of whether you have thrown an axe before or not.

How long is the training session?

Depending on the group size, it usually takes 5-15 minutes to review safety protocols and teach everyone how to throw. A staff member will be present during your experience to continue to guide you and provide additional support.

What is the difference between the 60- and 90-minute experiences?

In both experiences, you will learn how to safely throw from our experienced coaches. During the 60-minute experience, you will spend an hour practicing your new skills. The 90-minute FULL experience is the ultimate experience where you will compete in a series of casino-themed games for the High Roller title!

Can we reserve a 60-minute experience on the weekend?

It is unlikely to have an open range on the weekend; therefore, only the full 90-minute experiences  are available to make a reservation on the weekends.

What games do you play during the 90-minute FULL experience?

Our games are casino inspired! To learn more about our games, book the full experience online or by phone.

Will I be paired up with other people?

Not at all, all groups are in their own lane. 

Should I bring cash?

If you enjoyed your experience (and we know you will!), our staff members greatly appreciate tips. You can add a gratuity before, during or after your reservation.

MAKING A RESERVATION

How can I make a reservation?

You can reserve online (here) Payment is required to guarantee a range.

How much does it cost?

Our 60-minute experiences are $25 per person and our 90-minute FULL experiences are $35 per person. Early bird pricing is available on the weekends and large group discounts are available.

What type of payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, business checks, or credit cards. No personal checks can be accepted.

Can I pay at the door?

For a faster check-in process, full payment is required prior to arrival.

Is there a group minimum to reserve?

Currently, we are temporarily requiring a minimum of four (4) participants to reserve a lane. If you previously purchased a GroupOn experience for 2 people, we apologize for the inconvenience. Do not forget that you can still bring your friends or family to reach the four-person minimum!

Is there a group maximum?

Our venue holds up to 65 people. 12-15 people per range. Due to the current COVID-19 guidelines, our capacity has been reduced in half to 30-35 people.

How far in advance do I need to make a reservation?

We recommend making a reservation several weeks in advance, especially for a weekend. Spots fill up fast!

What if I need to cancel? What is your refund policy?

A full refund will be issued if your reservation is cancelled more than 48 hours in advance of your reservation. Any applicable refunds must be claimed by calling 614-987-6125.

What if I need to re-schedule?

Please notify us at least 48 hours in advanced to re-schedule your reservation by calling 614-987-6125 or emailing info@capitalaxethrowing.com.

What if we’re late to our reservation?

We run a tight schedule with time in-between groups to sanitize axes and high contact surfaces. If you are running late, we ask that you give us a call as a courtesy.

Can I bring more people than we reserved ahead of time?

We highly recommend having a final head count ahead of time. Additional people can pay on-site, but range is subject to availability. 

FOOD AND DRINKS

Can we bring outside food and drinks?

We ask that our guests follow the facility’s No Outside Food or Drink policy. Exceptions may apply, such as restricted diets and allergies. Call us for more information!

We’re celebrating a birthday, can we bring a cake/cupcakes?

Absolutely! All we ask is that you notify us in advanced by calling us at (614)987-6125 to make a note of it.

Are food and drinks available to purchase?

Yes, the facility has a concession stand with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as food options.

Can we bring outside catering?

As part of the facility’s strict No Outside Food and Drink policy, we do not allow outside catering. However, we have our own catering options! We will be glad to e-mail you our catering menu. E-mail us at info@capitalaxethrowing.com for more information.
